Your Lock Screen wallpaper stays exactly where it is. You can still read and copy your note, share the wallpaper, and browse backups. Your writing is never held hostage.

Frequently asked questions
Is the update really automatic?
Notes you write from the Lock Screen button update the wallpaper right away. For edits you make inside the app, set up the optional Auto-Update: an automation runs "when the app is closed" and swaps the wallpaper, so from the second time on there is nothing for you to do.
Does it drain the battery?
The wallpaper is just a static image, and the app doesn't stay running. Work happens only for a moment when you close the app.
Won't notifications cover my note?
The lower half of the Lock Screen tends to get covered by notifications. That's why LockBoard places your note in the highly visible band just below the clock (you can adjust the position).
Why is the initial setup needed?
iOS has no public API that lets an app change the wallpaper. LockBoard therefore applies it through Apple's official Shortcuts app. All that's required is adding the shortcut and assigning it to a Lock Screen button, and with the ready-made shortcut and the illustrated guide it takes 1–2 minutes in practice (the automation-based Auto-Update is optional).
Where is my data stored?
Everything is stored on your device. Nothing is sent to any external server.
Does my note disappear when the free period ends?
No. Your Lock Screen wallpaper stays in place too. Reading, copying the full text, and sharing the wallpaper all keep working. Only changes pause, and a purchase resumes them immediately.
When does the free period start?
Seven days (168 hours) from the moment your shortcut first runs after setup — not from the day you install. Nothing ticks away while you are still setting things up, and if you never try the setup, the period never starts at all.
